ARTIST'S STATEMENT

As a child I began envisioning imagery that blended reality and fantasy. I don't label what style I paint, but my imagery has been called surreal, visionary, photo realistic, and existential. My art manipulates time and space, creating a fantasy world that could be believable.

My paintings are geographical puns or puzzles, sometimes witty or whimsical, where one object can be in two places at the same time. I try to weave different realities together, sometimes leaving the transition in question showing that the clarity from one to the other can be vague but beautiful and intriguing. 

My paintings are acrylic on canvas with an average size of 36" X 46". I have kept the size large allowing the viewer easier access to escape into the detail of the world I have created on canvas.
